Amos 9
11 “ On that day I will raise up
The tabernacle of David, which has fallen down,
And repair its damages;
I will raise up its ruins,
And rebuild it as in the days of old;
12 That they may possess the remnant of Edom,
And all the Gentiles who are called by My name,”
Says the LORD who does this thing.

i relooked the chapter and realized what a vision Amos must have seen. Israel's destruction and her eventual resurrection. v8 says "...Yet I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob..."

Bill Johnson spoke about the 30 year dream he had, and the rebuilding of the tabernacle of David, a place where it was just the ark. where people were drawn to worship. and to be in awe. a place of 24 hour worship! a tabernacle so radically different from the tabernacle of Moses with all its adornments.

and the fruit? v12 "That they may possess the remnant of Edom (the world)". Bill does emphasize that the possession of the remnant is a fruit. it's not the main thing. the main thing's worship. and as we worship:

Isaiah 60
1 Arise, shine;
For your light has come!
And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.
2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth,
And deep darkness the people;
But the LORD will arise over you,
And His glory will be seen upon you.
3 The Gentiles shall come to your light,
And kings to the brightness of your rising.
4Lift up your eyes all around, and see:
They all gather together, they come to you;
Your sons shall come from afar,
And your daughters shall be nursed at
your side.
5 Then you shall see and become radiant,
And your heart shall swell with joy;

Because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you,
The wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you.

something Bill said was so profound: "we as worshippers are positioned to summon nations to their destinies."

we worship, we obey. God does the rest : )

so much more.
