Will the Real Christianity Please Stand Up?

*New Sermon* - Will the Real Christianity Please Stand Up?

Some how, I felt the impetus to listen to this sermon again, after Friday's cell discussion. Totally refreshing :) What a message we're preaching in these end-times. I feel like the entire Christ-centric message speaks right to my heart, and if the truth be known, I'd think everyone's hearts too. If only I could articulate my thoughts better :)

It's that kind of bottled up enthusiasm that builds up inside whenever I feel the love of God for someone who hasn't gotten to know the true Well, yet.

Grace is greater. Grace is the teacher. Grace swallows up sin. No more confusion.

It's easy now, but it wasn't cheap. It cost God His Son.

handling criticism.

"I don't have time to sit around thinking about all the people who don't like me. I realize that every day is a gift from God, and my time is too valuable to waste it trying to please everybody. No, I've accepted the fact that not everybody is going to like me and not everybody is going to understand me. You don't have to try to explain yourself. Don't spend time trying to win over your critics; just run your own race."
.

.
"Friend, your destiny is not determined by your critics. God has the final say. Quit listening to what the naysayers are telling you and stop living to please people. Shake that off and keep pressing forward in life."

- Excerpts from Become a Better You by Joel Osteen

this part of the book on forming better habits really spoke to me past week. identify my habits that I should not have and replace them with better ones. :) this part on handling criticism brought to mind the story of David when he fulfilled his calling to defeat Goliath. Everyone was telling him why he could not. He was showing everyone why God could. For nothing is impossible for God. Even his brother, his closest kin, came up to him and told him why he shouldn't have shown up at the battle, even as the whole of Israel was cowering in fear. It was at that point when David turned away from his naysayers. The rest, was history.

My destiny is with God. and He has the final say. and He says that it is good. For if even His Son He did not withhold, then what else would He withhold to a now righteous, blood-washed, sanctified people?

For the path of the righteous shines ever brighter. amen.
