a rush of blood to the leg.
that always feels painfully liberating. strangely numbing at first, but as soon as blood starts pumping into your blood-deficient veins, every dying cell begins to celebrate.
i fell asleep last night, at the computer with my right leg propped up by my left knee, in an awkward, vein-constricting position. and you all can guess what happened next. i really wonder what it is that brings me to consciousness only just before my oxygen-deprived cells start dying before i know it. haha it must be a reflex of some sort.
too many times i could have woken up with a useless arm or a lifeless leg, but i wake up just in time, every time. weird huh. like i remember the time i fell asleep with my right arm behind my head, and waking up completely numb. and of course, the sensation of blood coursing through the vessels in my arm when the pressure point's lifted.
ugh.
anyhow, i'm home now. : ) time to get over jetlag. tennis tonight! and happy birthday jr!
