love

1 John 4:10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

How awesome is that?

That we have such a secure inheritance in a God who loves us so much that He came down to earth, suffered the wrath of His own justice, so that He can freely love us.

That in Christ we have everything.

That in Christ we have true liberty.

That in Christ we can love others because He first loved us.

That we have perfect love. Agape love. The i-would-lay-down-my-life-for-you kind of love.

John 15:13 Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.

Would you lay down your life for any of your friends? Maybe.
Would you lay down your life for a stranger? Possibly, if he's worthy.
...Would you lay down your life for a sinner?

God did. God's love did. God's wisdom did. God's champion did. God's son did.

For you. so how much less will He give us? He gave up His everything, so how much more will He not give?

exceedingly, abundantly, above all i can ask or even think.

Lord, just blow me away.

what we believe impacts what we do.
and what we do impacts our lives.

my friends, we're still walking, in the light :) and we have continual cleansing from the blood.

1 John 1:7
"But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from ALL sin."

Amazing. i'm really in awe. like is this even possible? :)

--------
I want to sing
Until I am lost in Your love
Till I'm found in Your presence
Worshipping before your throne
Held by Your spirit
Entering into Your flow
How precious this moment
Lord I want you to know

It's You
You who have won my heart
Taken me into Your arms
Comforted me like a friend
Your love
Surrounded me from the start
I never want to be apart
From You ever again

been a good time at work. My mentor's leaving for the Philippines for the whole of next week which means i might or might not have much to do next week. Hm. Well I emailed him to load me with the stuff that I'm cleared to touch. so hopefully. And hopefully I'm on the right track for the Energy Saving stuff I'm working on.

On another note, I've been hanging out with the older folks at my workplace of late... Hong Teck, Raymond and Lay See. :) Very nice person, Hong Teck. Very accommodating. Very giving. :) really thank God for the favor, haha.. just a point I noticed: the topics of the elders tend to talk about health a little bit more. All of them has gone for medical cholesterol check-ups, BMI checks and all that. And they're really careful with what they eat. (Apparently 2 salted eggs can raise your cholesterol level to insane levels--i guess that's why people usually have half a salted egg.)

Met Karen for lunch to settle her sta travel stuff, mostly because my internet was down at work and i badly needed to get out of the office, to breathe some fresh air. Then with my primary school classmate Li Li for dinner at ThaiExpress TBP. Jeremy was there, and Jit Chin also joined in the fun.

Sa-wa-dee-kap!

shiok
jit chin and jem

and the server we had was Vietnamese but we thought he was Thai all along, and asked him a lot of questions about the menu. Hilarious. haha!

peace out!

Ecc 3:1 To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:

.
.
.

Ecc 9 :11 I returned and saw under the sun that—

The race is not to the swift,
Nor the battle to the strong,
Nor bread to the wise,
Nor riches to men of understanding,
Nor favor to men of skill;
But time and chance happen to them all.

12 For man also does not know his time:
Like fish taken in a cruel net,
Like birds caught in a snare,
So the sons of men are snared in an evil time,
When it falls suddenly upon them.

updates, upgrades

Upgrades

currently working on my 3-4 year old (i think..) desktop in the study room right now, and was tweaking the dam BIOS to try to make the whole computer faster. Removed the friggin' startup nonsense from the registry itself so the startup's a whole lot faster. And i friggin' overclocked my processor for the first time, whoa. haha never knew it could be that fun. A Pentium 4 1.80 GHz processor now running at 2.16 GHz. Hopefully it doesn't overheat. Hah.

And in case anyone was wondering about my previous post, well, the dam DNS at my place keeps dropping, especially at night. haha the singnet person came along this morning and apparently it's got to do with the main exchange thingey back at Singnet. Supposed to be getting more! but just 600++ kpbs right now and it fluctuates. So there. Hope it gets sorted out soon.

for those of you who's wondering the actual DNS speed you're receiving, check this website out:
www.speedtest.net

Next thing to try would be to overclock my laptop proper. HAHA. and guys, guys, guys, (especially ed-lo), overclock your processor if your laptop always lags during dota. haha cos GET READY DUDES, Fall 07, is just around the corner.

Updates

Having a great time at work! :) i just wanna thank Jesus for all the favor i have at my workplace. In the span of 2 weeks, made many cool colleague friends, and happy for Matthew and Yvonne who's getting married in 2 weeks! :)

Also, just back from the CAGE last night. It was AWESOME. nostalgic stuff. hah. good to see Rahul, Ashok and the gang, though suffered some injuries here and there. haha. shag. and guess what, my little brother Jerry joined in the fun as well. haha.. like i told Rahul, thankfully big burly curly Damien isn't back or he'll just crush the living daylights out of him haha.. nah not that bad, but be back soon mister Gomez!

Dad came to check it out

The dudes

The action

Ashok!

Went to the AMK Hub with kx for dinner before the CAGE match and i must say, pretty koncept ah. though we eventually didn't eat or have a chill-out milkshake inside the hub itself. The bus interchange was pretty much like Toa Payoh, air-conditioned and all. Great job done.

Oh! and for those of you who've been waiting for this piece of news: I've finally cut my hair. haha .. ok trimmed and layered, whatever that means. hmm but then again, i guess you guys would be disappointed with the result haha.. still looks quite long la.

Aiight, till later, chill-out in town.
