Revival is not about how many people you pack into a church building,
but how effectively you impact the community around you. So how do you change a city that has been influenced by every form of crime, drugs, violence, and sexual perversion?

faith.

2Sa 23:1-5 (NLT)
1 These are the last words of David:

“David, the son of Jesse, speaks—
David, the man who was raised up so high,
David, the man anointed by the God of Jacob,
David, the sweet psalmist of Israel.

 2 “The Spirit of the Lord speaks through me;
his words are upon my tongue.

3 The God of Israel spoke.
The Rock of Israel said to me:
   ‘The one who rules righteously,
who rules in the fear of God,

4 is like the light of morning at sunrise,
      like a morning without clouds,
like the gleaming of the sun
      on new grass after rain.’

5 “Is it not my family God has chosen?
Yes, he has made an everlasting covenant with me.

His agreement is arranged and guaranteed in every detail.
He will ensure my safety and success.

Lev 17:3 Any Israelite who sacrifices an ox,  a lamb or a goat in the camp or outside of it 4 instead of bringing it to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting to present it as an offering to the LORD in front of the tabernacle of the LORD -that man shall be considered guilty of bloodshed; he has shed blood and must be cut off from his people.

never saw this before. present Jesus as our offering to God our Father, to walk boldly in the Holy of Holies--and not be considered guilty. we need to know what we're presenting as a sacrifice and to whom--not just sacrifice it as a ritual/tradition.

what could have made a man lose all direction when he's having success all laid out for him?

it was a tragedy. i wish he had known the love that's greatest of all. Condolences, nonetheless.
